Hello my name is Joe. What I am about to tell you is not going to be easy for me, but it needs to be said. You see, until recently, I would have never spoken to anyone about anything in my private life, Period! It just wouldn’t happen.
Something happened in 2006 that changed my mind…I almost died. I had felt ill for some time, but it got a whole lot worse, quick!
You see, in spite of a Lifetime of workouts, no liquor for 29 years, and no tobacco for the last 8 years, I found myself in the ER with my Best friend at my side. The look on his face told me I was in real
trouble. The Doctor came in and said Joe your Blood Pressure is 165 over sky high. Your blood glucose is over 350 and you’re a DIABETIC. His words hit me like a sledgehammer! My Life as I have known it has just ended. My first Cousin lost his life too Diabetes in spite of all his wealth. To me this was a “Death Sentence.” I was no longer a person; I was a Disease and filled with despair.
